Vehicle Coverage

The iSmartTool 601Max covers over 100 US, Asian, and European brands of vehicle, having various diagnostic functions for all; including special functions such as adaptions resets and relearning tools. The iSmartTool 601Max is compatible with optional Security Gate Way licences (SGW) to unlock certain brands of vehicles. FCA SGW yearly subscription provides the unlock for FCA vehicles (Abarth, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Alfa Romeo, Maserati, Ram trucks, Lancia and Fiat). The Renault SGW token activations provide the unlock for Renault and Dacia.

Using The Device

The iSmartTool 601Max not only comes with 26 service functions, but also operates as a TPMS Sensor reader, battery tester, and has a built-in printer for instant report generation. The iSmartTool 601Max comes with multilingual menu support, including: English, Japanese, Korea, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Russian, Deutsch, Polish, Romanian, Dutch, Arabic, Czech, Danish, Greek, Farsi, Finnish, Hungarian, Swedish, Turkish, Serbian, Chinese Simplified, and Chinese Traditional.

Battery Testing - The iSmartTool 601Max offers both in-car and out-of-car inspection, including battery health tests, start-up tests, and charging tests. The device also operates battery bar code scanning and battery matching – saving you from needing a separate battery tester! The results of battery tests can be seen on the device and easily printed from the built-in printer or emailed to provide online report viewing. The iSmartTool 601Max can test all automotive starting lead-acid batteries, including ordinary lead-acid batteries, AGM flat batteries, AGM winding batteries, colloidal batteries, and many more. The device supports common battery standard tests: CCA, BCI, CA, MCA, JIS, DIN, IEC, EN, SAE and GB. There is no need to fully charge batteries before testing, the iSmartTool 601Max will directly detect bad cells by testing power loss. As well as being able to test cells and batteries whilst under voltage. The iSmartTool 601Max offers a polarity reverse connection protection function with the battery clamp reverse connection not damaging the equipment, or having any adverse impact on the car and battery

TPMS - The iSmartTool 601Max covers over 98% of vehicles with tyre pressure systems worldwide, offering 315 MHz/433 MHz tyre presser sensor activation and matching learning. The device is able to read tyre pressure data including pressure and tyre temperature and creates tyre pressure monitoring reports, which can be easily printed through the built-in printer, or emailed for online report viewing. The iSmartTool 601Max is capable of reading, copying, and writing sensors and their information, compatible with OE, LAUNCH, and ThinkCar universal sensors.

Software Updates

The iSmartTool 601Max comes with two years software, activated from date of purchase. Once your software licence comes to an end, your device will require a software update in order for you to keep using the functions of your iSmartTool 601Max. Without an update, your device will still work as a basic code reader and diagnostics machine.
